My 4 ‘must have’ smoothie ingredients

I use to think protein smoothies were for gym junkies and heavy weight champions but I’ve come to learn the benefits and practicalities of drinking my food. I use to just drink the protein mixed with water which is still great, well not so great if the protein doesn’t have a very nice taste, but over the years I have found a recipe that gets all the nutrients I need, tastes delicious and keeps me full!

#1 Protein

Nut butters like Almond, cashew, peanut etc, half of an avocado, or a few dollops full-fat greek yogurt. Yes please!

#4 Fibre

Now this one you might easily skip but hold up, this one is so easy to add! While it may not make the smoothie taste any different with or without it, It creates bulk and helps charge up your digestion. Sweet! I usually add Chia seeds but you could also add a teaspoon of flax seeds.

So there you have it, the 4 best ingredients for a healthy smoothie that will keep you full and coming back for more!
